Editing

As a group we have been discussing the ending and I think we need to make it more dramatic as it currently ends rather abruptly. So, we have extended the shots of fireworks to a different set of fireworks and have these visuals match with the actual sound the fireworks were producing. This has meant we needed to fade the song out more and add cross dissolve transition to the clip so it is smooth but I think this works really well and adds another dimension to the video, allowing the audience to focus on the sense of achievement the narrative is aiming to portray.

Editing

We have decided to change the  flashing sign section in our music video where we match lyrics and visuals. This is because we showed the latest draft to a sample audience and some of their feedback suggested that it may be more effective to use instructive road signs more than name place signs. I thought this was a great idea and means we can make that section a faster pace (which emphasises the difference and slow pace in the boring job shown first in the video) as well as adding more colourful and drama.

Editing

We have adjusted the ending of our video from being at a concert and performing to showing Mossy go on tour as the audience see's shots of places around the world where Mossy is visiting. To make this really clear we added in shots of a list being crossed off of all the different places and venues he is meant to be performing in. To make this all flow we have added in transition that look as if someone is turning the page.

Editing

We did our first session of editing today, putting all our shots for each section on the track and editing it down from there, we want to match up the change of shots to the change of beat which we have found to be quite tricky but just means making the timeline more precise in its time and patience. It went really well and we have our first 20 seconds done!

Importing and Editing

Today we are importing our shots to start editing! As we have finished all our preliminary tasks this is what we are going to be focusing on from now on which is very exciting!
