Dear Moderator, my name is Katherine Melling and this is my blog; it contains all of the work undertaken as part of my G324 A2 Coursework portfolio unit within the OCR CGE course in media studies.

I choose to work in a group of three where we chose to produce a music video to the song 'Counting Stars' by One Republic.

Editing

As a group we have been discussing the ending and I think we need to make it more dramatic as it currently ends rather abruptly. So, we have extended the shots of fireworks to a different set of fireworks and have these visuals match with the actual sound the fireworks were producing. This has meant we needed to fade the song out more and add cross dissolve transition to the clip so it is smooth but I think this works really well and adds another dimension to the video, allowing the audience to focus on the sense of achievement the narrative is aiming to portray.
